PE500 material produced by GELAR is manufactured from high molecular weight polyethylene and has an identical friction coefficient to grade PE1000. Meanwhile, the wear resistance of PE500 is only one-third lower than that of PE1000, a difference that often goes unnoticed in real-world operating conditions since laboratory testing does not fully replicate actual application environments.
Advantages and Properties
·Identical coefficient of friction to PE1000
·Wear resistance approximately one-third lower, but sufficient for most practical conditions
·High tensile strength and frost resistance
·Cost-effective compared to PE1000, PE2000, and PE9000
