Dock Fender Pads

Polyceramoplast fender pads reduce friction in the ship‑side/fender pair, thereby minimizing damage to the vessel's hull. They are made from modified HMWPE (PE500) and UHMWPE (PE1000/PE9000).

·Even without UV stabilization, UHMWPE degrades extremely slowly under ultraviolet exposure: no more than 1 mm per year.
·Full corrosion resistance in seawater.
·Density ~0.94–0.96 g/cm³ (buoyant; if dropped into water, the pad remains on the surface).
·Highest wear resistance among engineering plastics (widely used as wear linings in bulk‑handling equipment).
·Environmentally safe and biologically inert (burning yields only carbon, carbon dioxide, and water vapor).

HMWPE / PE500 – higher tensile, flexural, and compressive strength; resistant to shear loads and pull‑out from fasteners during mooring.

UHMWPE / PE1000 / PE9000 – low coefficient of friction and enhanced wear resistance; optimal for operations dominated by sliding contact against the quayside.
