Products made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), high molecular weight polyethylene (HMWPE), and low molecular weight polyethylene (LDPE) are virtually indistinguishable by touch and appearance. The only options are to trust your supplier or conduct regular incoming inspections of every batch—which is not always feasible. Testing of sample prototypes does not guarantee that industrial batches will be manufactured from identical raw materials.
